Is GDI a Scam?

That's what a lot of people are wondering.

And the true answer of course is no.

I think the reason that some people wonder if GDI is a scam is because of the claims they've heard, about how much money can be made with GDI. And the fact is, most of those claims are true. I haven't read them all so I can't attest to them all but GDI is a business you can start for only $10 a month and be making a very nice monthly residual income in a short period of time.

The problem many people have when they sign up for the GDI income opportunity is that they get caught up in the mentality of thinking all they have to do is show it to their family and friends, who will all sign up and then show it to their family and friends, who will all sign up and then show it to their family and friends, who will all sign up and well, you get the picture. In a perfect world that's all you would have to do to make a six figure income with GDI, but we don't live in a perfect world and most people are skeptics. Especially family and friends :o)

Whenever you join a multi-level marketing business such as GDI, the last people you want to try to recruit are family and friends. In fact I wouldn't even tell them about it until they ask, "how are you making all that money?"

Many people market GDI as a "get-rich-quick" opportunity with ads that try to convince people that they will be making a 6 figure income in no time without doing any work, and that is the hardest way to build a downline with GDI, because even though you might get a lot of sign-ups at first, not many of them will stay because they will soon learn that it isn't that easy.

Sure, you can make some nice bonus money short term because GDI pays $100 for every 5 people you sign up in one week, but if they all eventually quit then you don't get any residual income which is the main concept of earning the big bucks with GDI. Big bucks that come in monthly for life.

The only way to earn the residual income for life is by building a downline that will stay. And the only way to get them to stay is to help them build their own downline, because if they aren't making money they will not stay.

If you are not sure how the residual income works with GDI, it's like this:

GDI pays you $1 per month for every person in your downline down to 5 levels deep. Below is how much your residual monthly income would be if you signed up only 10 people on your first level, and then they each signed up 10 down to your fifth level.

1st Level - You sign up 10 = 10
2nd Level - Your first level each sign up 10 = 100
3rd Level - Your second level each sign up 10 = 1000
4th Level - Your third level each sign up 10 = 10,000
5th Level - Your 4th level each sign up 10 = 100,000

That's a total of 111,110 people in your downline. That would mean that your monthly residual income of one dollar for each of them would be a total of $111,110.00. THAT'S MONTHLY INCOME FOLKS!

That's more than most people make in 2 years, and it's that kind of money making potential that gets people excited to join GDI, but the problem is, once they are signed up they don't know what to do. So they ask their upline, who also doesn't know what to do and so they are simply told to "introduce it to their family and friends" with the concept that it will just snow ball from there, as portrayed in the second paragraph of this page.

How To Make BIG Money With GDI

The most important thing to remember, is GDI is NOT a "get-rich-quick" system. It takes work, and the first thing one needs to realize is that the bonuses are not the most important part of GDI. Sure, it's the fastest way to get paid if you can recruit enough people, but remember, the big money comes from building a huge downline, not working for the weekly bonus money.

To make $200 in bonus money with Global Domains International, you would need to recruit a minimum of 10 people in that one week. And the bonus money is a one time payment, it's not residual, meaning you won't get another $200 for recruiting those same 10 people. And if you can't show them how to get people to sign up under them they will quit and there will be no residual income at all.

How To Recruit Your First 10

There are several websites that you will get free when you join GDI. They are very nice splash pages intended to get people excited to join GDI for the free trial and start making money, but in order for people to see your splash pages you have to do some work to get them their.

The first thing GDI will tell you when you sign up is to show it to your family and friends, but as I mentioned above, those are not the people you want to show it to.

The people you want to show it to are people who are already looking for a money making opportunity and that is where most people fail. They don't know how to get those kinds of visitors to their splash pages.

How To Get The Right Visitors

Driving the right kind of traffic (targeted traffic) to a website is the key to success online no matter what you are promoting. If you are selling "Computer Software", then you would be wasting your time to get people who are looking for "Pet Supplies" to visit your website. You want visitors who are looking for "Computer Software", because those are the people most likely to buy from you.

There are many ways to drive free targeted traffic to your splash pages, some of which are particularly easy and others take more work. The key though, is taking action. Remember, your goal should be to recruit 10 people over a period of time, not 10 a week. It is much easier to recruit 1 or 2 per week than 10 a week, and then taking the time to help them do the same thing will ensure that they will stay, which in turn guarantees your residual income that will continue to grow week after week.

Lose The Get-Rich-Quick Mentality
